Bachyo by Kazi Studios
Natural disasters in Nepal affect thousands of people every year. These unfortunate series of events compromise and disturb the physiological, psychological, and behavioral development of people of all ages. Kazi Studios felt the need to educate people on disaster prevention and response, so we created a fun-filled game to potentially yield exponential results in improved understanding and implementation of disaster risk management interventions.
We conceptualized and developed Bachyo game integrating Disaster Risk and Reduction Management (DDRM) perspectives to raise awareness and enhance the understanding of the users. Kazi conducted research and prepared all the components required to prepare an engaging game, targeting school children and youths. Kazi engaged expertise in game conceptualization and design in close consultation with the USAID Tayar Nepal team as well. Kazi prepared this game in both English and Nepali languages with inputs from experts and government officials.
