Kaula: The Village Platter - Dine-in Voucher for Two at The Village Cafe

The Village platter will be served with Woh (fluffy pancake of black gram), Chatamari (rice flour pancake) and Aalu Tama (tangy fermented bamboo shoot soup), Chhwela (succulent barbequed buff cubes marinated with rare local spices), Aalu Achar (Potato cubes marinated with herbs and spices) to accompany them. The Kaula set invariably ends with a pair of Yomarees, a special confection made of rice flour with fillings of either sesame & molasses paste or Khuwa (dried condensed milk). This confection is specially eaten during the post harvest full moon festival. You will also be served with some hog plum chutneys.
Kaula set beautifully showcases the traditional and scrumptious food eaten during the festivals of the valley and can be eaten as a daytime lunch. This classic Newari set consists of carefully chosen dishes eaten during a specific festival.
